Human beings are made of many different components and amongst than the two most prominent ones are the emotions and the intellect. It is very important for all human beings to possess these two essential components amongst them. On the other hand, intellectual intelligence (IQ) is something, which can push people to achieve the academic success, which can be very beneficial for their career. Defining and Discussing EQ
Difference between EQ and IQ
EQ basically stands for the emotional quotient, which is very important to be present in the lives of human beings. This is such an intelligence, which can make people able to control and understand the different emotions associated with them and the others as well. There is another intelligence quotient as well, which is often defined by the intellectual quotient. The main difference between these is the origination of these two within the human mind.
Emotional intelligence is not something that can be obtained from birth. Whereas intellectual quotient is something, which can be there, from the birth time (Metaj-Macula, 2017). The emotional intelligence is learned with time and they can be developed as well. In the way of living, the emotions play a very important role and that is why they should be there because they can make humans originally human with some higher emotional instinct.
The success, which a person can get from the academic field throughout his life, can be with the help of their IQ but the emotional intelligence can actually lead to success in the real-life with some real and pure scenarios. The Intelligence quotient is definitely important within a human being's life but the emotional quotient is something that can make the person better with time.
Not only they, but also the people and the different activities within his surroundings can also be helped by this kind of emotional quotient. The leaders, captains and the different people in different challenging positions can have emotional intelligence because it can help them to cope up with the different situations. However, the IQ normally enables people to face some academic challenges and this can lead them to acquire common sense and high intellect (Rahim, Civelek & Liang, 2015).
Therefore, it can be said that emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence is very different from each other and they have their different parts in different people. It cannot be the same in two people and both of them tend to differ in different personalities.
