Decide how many behaviors to record. Keep the procedure simple. You don’t want to frustrate or confuse whoever is doing the recording. As a general guideline, don’t expect people to record more than one or two behaviors, especially when the recorders are clients or relevant others. Of course, a person may record several aspects of some behavior. For example, a husband may record not only how many times he loses his temper, but also with whom he loses his temper, when, where, and so on.
