I am driving a Spanish car in the UK, with my Spanish driving licence, I am English.

Unfortunatelly, and after living away from the Uk for more than 20 years, I wasnt aware of the speed cameras, and last July while I was working as a home carer, in Berkshire, I received 6 speeding fines!. I contacted the Police immediatelly and explained that this offences were committed mainly due to the fact that I have Kms and not milleage in my car, and it was never my intention to speed, I am an elderly person ( 65 ) and also at the time, I was along on the road, therefore not realising that I was speeding. ( all the fines showed that my maximum speed was once 39 Miles, being the max speed 30 Miles )

Now I have received a letter from the Oxforshire Magistrates Court, with an appointment to go there next Wednesday 15 February,stating that due to the seriousness of the offences, they were considering taking my driving licence away.

I am completealy devastated, as my car has been my life for the last 45 years , and also I work part time as a home carer, and to take my licence away will stop me for working, creating a very serious financial situation. Please, can you help me with an advice ? Can they take away my Spanish Driving Licence ?
