The Discussion Board (DB) is part of the core of online learning. Classroom discussion in an online environment requires the active participation of students and the instructor to create robust interaction and dialogue. Every student is expected to create an original response to the open-ended DB question as well as engage in dialogue by responding to posts created by others throughout the week. At the end of each unit, DB participation will be assessed based on both level of engagement and the quality of the contribution to the discussion.
The purpose of the Discussion Board is to allow students to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content and the DB question. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB will be accepted after the end of each week.

Deliverable Length: 150 words for the main post words each for at least two in-depth classmate reply posts.

Visit the AIU Library and locate an article that discusses the financial risks involved in running a business, the financial management of a business, the banking system, or the stock and bond market. In your own words, but using appropriate in-text citations and aligned references, summarize your selected article and indicate your overall impression of the information being shared. Complete the post by providing a question or comment that you would share with the author.

The discussion for each unit can begin at the beginning of the week so you are encouraged to post early and check back frequently throughout the unit to post continued discussion replies. You will be graded on the depth and quality of your postings, your use of supporting academic sources, proper citation and reference format, and meeting length guidelines.
