This question raises some interesting ethical points


In the first,I don't think there is necessarily an ethical framework for depletableresources. I think questions 1 and 2 are tied in this sense. Without use of potentially unrenewable resources, there may not be future generations at all. Though I think this may be a case-by-case basis, as most things I can think of that we use that is important, like food or water, etc are not depletable.


I do not think any and all people have a free reign over resources. I think that resource ownership is subject to the same property rights as anything else, land, energy, or any other resource.
