Cutting plywood siding: Plywood siding is to be used to cover the exterior wall of a house. Plywood siding comes in sheets 4 feet wide and 8 feet high. On the exterior wall shown in Figure 3.35, three pieces of siding are shown cut to conform to the roof line. The piece on the far right is 1 foot high on the shorter side and 2 feet 6 inches high on the longer side (toward the peak of the roof). To make proper cuts on the next two sheets of plywood, we need to know the lengths h and k shown in Figure 3.35. Find these lengths.
