Introduction
    Healthcare environment in United States has always been a reason of major concern in the filed of medical services. Healthcare environment needs to be taken into consideration and requires major attention, when it comes to the health and well-being of the society. In order to maintain a healthy environment, healthcare systems in United States have come up with a number of services to improve the healthcare environment and to make the patients feel healthier and safer. Through this paper, an effort has been made to discuss the exiting healthcare environment in United States from the perspective of the healthcare administrators and the patients. The paper will also analyse the recent changes in the healthcare legislation of United States and their influence on the operations of the healthcare system. The values and dignity of individuals while creating these legislations will also be taken into consideration. Current trends in healthcare systems along with risk management will also be discussed through this paper.
Current Healthcare Environment in United States
    The healthcare environment in United States is evolving over the past several years. Healthcare environment of United States in the current situation fails to deliver cost effective services to the patients, who are in need of it. From the perspective of the patients, the care they receive is not up to the mark and is full of medical errors, when compared with the money they spend to get these healthcare services. The patients are of the opinion that the current healthcare environment in United States provides them with care, which is 50% of the care being recommended for them (NCBI, 2020). Many improvements can still be done to the healthcare environment of United States to bring down the high mortality rate of the nation. The administrators have been making several claims that the current healthcare environment has been improved considerably through effective healthcare plans, healthcare services based on advanced technologies, increased number of hospitals and clinics and many more.
    The patients are of the opinion that the complexity of the healthcare environment in United States has been providing insufficient help to the healthcare staff and clinicians and therefore, preventing them from making informed decisions. The administrators, on the other hand are of the opinion that, United States has been spending a sufficient amount of money on the health and well-being of the people and therefore, life expectancy of the people has improved considerably in the current healthcare environment. On evaluating the recent healthcare environment of United States, it can be inferred that healthcare facilities are largely owned by the private sector (Williams & Kaminsky, 2017).
