Culture You are an archaeologist and you have just uncovered a civilization called “America.” Find at least one item from each of these aspects of culture: economy, religion, sports, science/technology, education, families, and politics/ government. For example, you might uncover a checkbook, a small cross, a baseball card, a mouse (not the animal), a piece of chalk, pictures, and campaign buttons. As you find these items around your house or school, try to imagine what they might mean to this American culture by answering the following questions.
a. Is this item culturally universal? Can it be found in other cultures?
b. What uses might someone from another culture find for this item? Be creative.
c. What does this item tell us about this culture?
