Forced marriage is a form of gender abuse. It might lead to a number of negative effects, involving physical, sexual, cognitive violence, economic abuse, educational denials, social isolation, including mental health issues. As mentioned by Patton (2018), forced marriage is in the first place a matter of human rights and gender equality, not cultural question. That said, any initiatives relating to forced marriage a cultural awareness needs to be addressed. There is little information about the prevalence and nature of forced marriage in Australia. However, it is apparent that forced marriage exists in a diverse way in array of Australian women and children. Especially women with cognitive impairments may be at risk-forced marriage.
Purpose
This study presents the findings and case study of the community development issue as well as the primary issues posed in the forced marriage literature. This Report hoped to deepen comprehension of the issue of in Australia a forced marriage. It has recognised, however, that there is still a lot, in which we do not know about this issue (Girls Not Brides, 2020). The purpose of the report is to provide users with the information on forced marriage, to gain insight into this issue and to gain a sense of the possible actions needed in Australia to address the issue.
Community Engagement and Participative Planning
Summer vacations are the best time for teenage people to take to the outside world. In some cases, what they were told is a trip to meet family abroad, but in reality, a marriage was arranged. Over 30 cases of forced marriages involving children as young as nine have been investigated by the Australian Federal Police. This is even after the implication of the Marriage act by the Federal government of Australia. Survivors of forced marriage are among the most vulnerable in many respects society People. As indicated by Vidal (2017), vulnerability-with legal and interdisciplinary implications appeal-is therefore a term with strong potential for forced analysis marriage and the assessment of the implications of legislation, which seeks to react to child marriage.
The planning for the issue includes efficient, high-quality enquiry into cases of forced marriage requires special expertise from investigators and law enforcement. Districts of the Police, adequate organisational structure and proper official communications processes must also be in place to ensure that the cases treated accordingly. A system of domestic violence coordinators planned to develop in each of Australia's police districts to ensure that incidents of domestic violence are deal with in a consistent and systematic manner in compliance with high quality standards.
Work Plan
Under this system, the family therapy offices will offer appropriate resources to young people with a lower socioeconomic background and minority background who are looking for assistance in resolving forced marriage disputes.
