Finally, students willwrite acritical essay(about 500 words) to demonstrate their ability to analyze a work (poetry) in order to illustrate ideas relevant to this course.





I. Assignment:

Students will read the poems by Langston Hughes from their Selected Poems text. Students will also write posting #2 on the discussion board and make comments to classmates. Posting includes:
a.) their choice of 2 Hughes' poems they relate to and
b.) their choice of another poem (could be song lyrics) that they find insightful.
c. Finally, students will write a critical essay (about 500 words) to demonstrate their ability to analyze a work (poetry) in order to illustrate ideas relevant to this course.
