To create a baseline, use your operating system’s configuration tools (such as the System utility in Windows Control Panel) to access this information and store the relevant details in a file. This will come in handy in the future when attempting to determine whether your system configuration was altered. Be sure to keep a hard copy in case an attacker accesses your baseline file.
