Your seller has instructed you to collect names and contact information from anyone attending the open home. You know that there is no pool safety certificate and that this has implications for the buyer, but telling the buyer this is likely to put the buyer off and you are highly motivated to sell your client’s property. What will you say to the buyer? Your answer should include mention of the buyer’s rights under the contract in this situation. 7(b) Upon hearing that the property does not have a pool safety certificate the buyer expresses concerns that it creates uncertainty and would only sign a contract if it is subject to a pool safety inspection, allowing them to terminate the contract if a lot of work is required.
