Covenant Paper Part III: Final Draft

The last component of the multistage term paper assignment requires you to put all your thoughts and ideas into the final draft of your paper. This final component to your term paper must be 1,750-2,000 words and address how the New Testament showed that through the new covenant Jesus fulfilled each of God's previous covenant promises.

Make sure to structure your essay around each of the five sections of the New Testament: (1) The Gospels, (2) Acts, (3) Paul's Epistles, (4) The General Epistles, and (5) Revelation. Be sure to answer the following questions for each:

  1. How does each of the five sections of the New Testament fulfill God's promises to Abraham, Israel at Sinai, and David?

  2. How does each of the five sections of the New Testament show that Jesus was the source of the fulfillment of promises made to Abraham, Israel at Sinai, and David?

This essay requires a minimum of six academic sources from the GCU Library in addition to the Bible and your textbook. Additional sources outside of the GCU Library may be used with the instructor's approval prior to usage.

Some helpful tips for a successful outcome:

  1. Once you have written your paper, make and take sufficient time to ensure that your points are clearly stated and that everything included in your paper is working cohesively to prove your thesis. Before you submit your term paper, read through your completed paper with a critical eye, looking for repeated phrases, weak or no transitions leading the reader from one thought to another, and redundancy. Are you saying the same thing repeatedly but with different words? For help with transitions, refer to the topic online resource, "Coherence: Transitions Between Ideas," located in the Capital Community College Foundation Guide to Grammar and Writing.

  2. Next, simplify your paper, paying close attention to the word count specified in the assignment criteria.

  3. Lastly, make sure you have cited all your sources in the paper and listed them in the reference section of your paper.

Abstract
The main objective of Jesus Christ to create the kingdom of God and teach the people about love and sacrifice. In this underlying essay, we are addressing how the New Testament
showed that through the new covenant Jesus fulfilled each of God's previous covenant promises. We are also analyzing the five sections of the New Testament: (1) The Gospels, (2) Acts, (3) Paul's Epistles, (4) The General Epistles, and (5) Revelation in a detailed way.
Analyzing the five sections of the New Testament fulfils God's promises to Abraham, Israel at Sinai, and David
The Gospels
While analyzing the teaching of god we can understand that it fulfils the god promises to Abraham, Israel and David. The covenant between the people and God is the central attraction of gospel. While analyzing the bible verses Romans 4:13 its clearly states that “For the promise to Abraham or his descendants that he would be the heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith” From this statement, we can understand that Jesus fulfilled each god’ previous promises. Jesus also stated to the people, that he came to the world for keeping the promises made by God to Abraham, Israel, David and others.
Most of the time Jesus said to the people that he came for protection needs and life of Israel people. While analyzing the bible verse Romans 9:4 we can understand that God is fulfilling promises made to the Israel people “who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises”. The covenant with David fulfilled when Jesus born in Bethlehem and in Matt 1:1 clearly states the Jesus is the son of David (Yee 2006,p.173).
The Acts
While reading Acts we can understand that it also shows how Jesus Christs keep the promises made to David, Abraham and Israel in Sinai. In the book Stephen Acts 7:1-8 summarized the story of Abraham and it also shows the Jesus helped the generation of Abraham to lead a good life. Acts 7: 8 also describes how Jesus fulfilled the promises made to Abraham by God, in Acts 7:8 explains the “covenant of circumcision and bond between the god and Abraham. If we are reading Acts 3:18; 4:27–28; 8:32–35 we can understand that Jesus also shows ways he used for protecting the covenant between God and Israel at Sinai. In the book of Jesus plays the role of mediator between the God and Israel people and helping them to get blessings and gifts. Acts 3:25-26 describes the redeeming of Israel people from all the sins by Jesus Christ (Culter 2016,p.21). Acts 13:32 states that “I will give you the sure mercies of David” by saying Jesus Christ provide new meaning to promise between the God and David.
The Paul Epistles
