Courtesy Bids is a scam and should not be allowed. There is corruption all around in the business industry. It's not legal to take advantage of open markets. This leads to bid suppression which is "the collusive practice of subcontractors or suppliers working together to effectively raise prices for goods or services in a competitive bid market ( Phillips, 2018)." When there are things like this going on it makes the industry harder to work in. Almost begins to feel like a monopoly. Although it does happen, it shouldn't be allowed and those that find it right to do so are just lacking honesty and bad business ethics.
