Course Description:

This course examines the process of managed change in human organizations and the critical role of communication in the change process. We will critically analyze approaches to implementing planned change using a variety of models from the social sciences.

Communication in organizations is the result of processes and structures that are interior to the organization. These evolve over time and adapt to changes in the organizational environment. We will pay attention to these processes and structures.

But it is also the case that interior structures and processes are affected by external, cultural, factors. In order to explore this relationship we will also develop a focus on a specific aspect of organizations’ relationships with their environment. By this phrase we mean the following:

  • interaction between the organization, its activities its products, and the community;

  • the emergence of social movements, protest, boycott and social action as a direct result of the organization’s activity in the community;

  • the interior organizational response to external social action;

  • following the patterns of organizational change resulting from social action.

Introduction
The plague concerning the disease Corona Virus or that is popularly known as COVID-19 has shaken the global nation and jarred it to its core. Canadian Public Health Agency has been effective in working with the territori
es, provinces as well as the international partners that sheds light on the World Health Organization. This has been carried out for actively monitoring the situation. There have also been Global efforts that are focused on the containment concerning the matters of the outbreak and therefore the prevention of the matters concerning the further spread.
This pandemic has even crept into the remotest of the places where one cannot even imagine. Canada has undergone a major impediment due to this pandemic. Having engulfed the country, the daily life in the city underwent important changes. However, there resulted a major problem concerning this pandemic in terms of the process of communication. Since the outbreak of the disease erupted externally, therefore, it affected the internal workings of the organizations in Canada. The communication has been undertaken by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada by establishing contact with territorial as well as provincial Chief Medical Officers concerning the Health Care for ensuring any cases related to COVID-19 happening in Canada or not. This assignment will delve deeply into the fact of the various resultant effects this pandemic has led to a situation of changing the communication process of the organization.
Part 2
Government as stakeholders
The action of the stakeholders is important relating to the factor that affects the organizations adversely that the business gains an ethical responsibility for considering the matter about how it affects those (Abassi et al., 2020). Therefore, it is important to develop a mutually beneficial relationship considering all the stakeholders that are effective in generation of goodwill toward an organization, as a result paving the way for a situation that will lead to lasting success. The importance of the government as a stakeholder goes to the extent of collecting taxes from the company; therefore, it is beneficial for the generation of the profits for the company. It is effective in flattening the epidemic curve that has led to an increase in the cases that could furthermore affect the resources of health care that are available to Canadians.
So it is important to consider the fact that even if the organization is a smaller one it can effectively give back for the generation of support as well as improving the community. The Canadian government has conceived the fact about the importance of creating the vaccine for combating the disease. This factor has shaken the government to the core and therefore they have been considering for bringing this out as fast as possible. The communication process of the external affairs has affected the internal matters of Canada as well as the local hospitals that were there. Therefore, the government should need to communicate the help they need from neighbouring states as well as for emergency funding, which should be followed by hard work and of course ingenuity, all of which be beneficial in effectively making a speedy vaccine.
Part 3
Analysis
Since, it is important to note the fact that all sectors of the society are involved in a situation of the preparedness concerning the pandemic as well as response. Therefore, the national government appears to be the natural leader that will be effective for communication and overall coordination involving the efforts.
Considering the economic matters, there has been a major downfall in the economy, due to the lockdown situation (Calvo, 2020). All the shops remain closed as well as schools, colleges and private as well as public organizations. This has effectively led to the state where the employment opportunities of individuals are put at stake. Therefore, in a situation as severe as this, the government should effectively consider the matter relating to the factors such as:
● It should effectively identify, thereby appoint, and finally lead the coordinating body to the preparedness concerning the pandemic and thereby generate a response. The Canadian government should work towards modifying the legislation. It can thus be held for sustaining and thereby optimizing the preparedness of the pandemic, therefore the capacity development, and the response leads on to efforts across all the sectors;
● To guide as well as prioritize, it will help for the allocation as well as targeting the resources for the attainment of the goals, it will, therefore, be outlined in a manner of the Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Plan of the country
● The National Microbiology Laboratory of Canada should with the assistance of the government, perform diagnostic tests for the virus
● Resources should also be provided for any kind of technical assistance to the countries that will help to experience outbreaks concerning the influenza resulting out of the pandemic potential.
Due to the outbreak of the pandemic, this has resulted in a situation of unemployment because of the lockdown state of the entire nation (Karin et al., 2020). Canada has effectively faced this major setback. There had been lots and many people, who have been sacked out of their office without any kind of prior notice. Many have received a cut in the wages, who are working in the hospitality industry, since there are no tourists neither are there any...
