COPYChapter 9 Question # 3 select four personal qualities of teachers that would help foster emotional health in the children, and explain why each is important. Qualities in teachers that would help foster emotional health in children: Calm and Composed: I believe that a teacher should be in calm and composed manner especially when there is a stressful situation to address. A calm teacher would be able to think rationally that helps in reaching a decision. A child who is observing the teacher in a stressful situation would capture a positive way of handling pressure and there are high chances that the child might repeat the same behavior when they are having their own crises. Self-Regulate emotions: I believe that the teacher should also have the skill to regulate their own emotions before teaching the child about their emotional needs. By self-regulation, the teacher should enable the children to let know that it is okay to experience harsh feelings like anger or sadness and allow space for the children to express those harsh feelings in a safe and non-threatening way. For example, divers a child into art and play while he feels anger. Achieving emotional literacy: I believe that a teacher should have the ability to build the child’s emotional vocabulary and encourage them to use the emotional language where appropriate. With the knowledge of emotional literacy, a child would feel confident to use them when he is not feeling right and when he wants to express whether something in his life was going right or wrong. Assertiveness: I believe that a teacher should have strong quality assertive skills to have firm and a positive control when being with the child. It is a positive technique that the child needs.

Chapter 10 question #3 review the seven social learning goals, and then list some practical pointers you would give a new teacher about how each of those goals might be accomplished. These are things I would tell a new teacher about social learning. I would tell the new teacher to not be too strict and adjust to the situation. Try to instill a kind attitude in social interaction between kids. Encourage friendship and working together with play and art equipment. Be aware of rejection and see if there are some learning moments between the one being rejected and the child pushing the other away. If that does not work, find another or group for the rejected child. Above all try to encourage a kind attitude and cooperation.AND PASTE YOUR ASSIGNMENT HERE
