1. Validity and Reliability of Sales Frequency Distribution Analysis
The sales frequency distribution table summarizes transaction counts and sales revenue by product for 2024 and 2025. To evaluate validity, we considered whether the analysis measures what it intends to measure. The goal is to analyze sales trends across products, which this table achieves by showing transaction volumes and sales dollars for each product category. However, the analysis could be improved by including additional years of data to identify trends over a longer period. The current two-year analysis may not fully capture evolving sales patterns.
For reliability, we evaluated whether the analysis produces consistent results under consistent conditions. The data originates from the company's information system, which provides transaction-level data. The system should reliably capture all sales activity. However, as a decentralized organization, the company relies on self-reporting of sales from each regional site. Errors or inconsistencies in data collection across sites could impact reliability. Additional analytics at the site level would help evaluate data consistency.
