Consider the following argument and identify which claims are factual, which are value judgements and which are definitions before reading on:
Many people claim that violence on TV has no effect on people’s behaviour. I am sure this is false because if what was shown on TV did not affect behaviour, TV advertising would not work and we know it does. However, even if it is true that TV violence affects people’s behaviour, that is still no reason for censorship because people should be free to watch what they choose. Freedom means being able to do what you want to do.
