a. For a tube with 25 mm inner diameter, calculate the maximum wall roughness size for hydraulically smooth conditions. Also, estimate the Kolmogorov microscale, and the lower limit of the size range of inertial eddies in the turbulent core.
b. Repeat Part a for a tube with D = 0.8 mm.
For both cases, for estimating the size of Kolmogorov’s eddies, assume hydraulically smooth wall and assume that conventional friction factor correlations apply.
