Consider a hypothesis test concerning a population mean
Consider a random sample of size 25 from a normal population with hypothesized mean 212 and s 5 2.88.
a. Write the four parts for a one-sided, right-tailed hypothesis test concerning the population mean with a = 0.01.
b. What assumptions are made in order for the test in part (a) to be appropriate?
c. Suppose the sample mean is x = 213.5. Find the value of the test statistic, and draw a conclusion about the population mean.
