Concern has been raised at the standard achieved by students completing final year project reports within a university department. One of the factors identified as important is the research methods (RM) module mark achieved, which is studied before the students start their project. The department has now collected data for 15 students, as given in Table 6.9.


Assuming that the populations are normally distributed, is there any evidence to suggest that the marks are different (test at 5%).
