To be able to articulate a comprehensive theoretical approach to counselling practice which draws on a core modality (Person Centred/Humanistic) and includes a thorough understanding of the therapeutic relationship as an integrating principle.2. To be able to recognise and articulate a theoretical basis for working with a range of client presenting issues. To be able to discuss and evaluate the role of social and cultural factors in relation to psychological wellbeing and distress.3. To demonstrate an understanding of developments in counselling research and show awareness of implications for good practice
