Being the comptroller of the small town named Dixon III, Rita Crundwell was managing the financial aspect of the city funds which basically includes the transfer of the money from one account to another, authorizing the payments and the writing the checks. After the few months it was found that she was engaged in the fraud of misappropriating the funds of more than $53 million funds in the city (Papadakis, et. al., 2017). It was found that Crundwell was continuously engaged in the transfer of the funds from the money market of the Dixon’s to the various accounts of the money. She was continuously engaged in the transfer of the city funds into her own account for the payment of her own private and personal business expenses.
