Choose an industry in which two or more companies has historically competed to maintain a significant share of the marketplace. These could include: Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola, Apple and Microsoft, GM and Ford Motor Company, or any other well-known pair of competitors.
Write a four (4) page paper in which you:

  1. Determine how each corporate culture differs from the other.

  2. Analyze three (3) ways that each unique culture has benefited by the other’s competition.

  3. Speculate how each would continue to thrive if its current corporate culture would need to change in the near future. Be sure to state what change(s) you are speculating on and what led you to identify that possibility.

Introduction
In this highly changing and competitive environment, competitive strategies are created
by business organizations to ensure a long term success and maintain a leading position in the
industry. These competitive strategies facilitate the business organizations to offer more effective
product and services to the customers in comparison to the competitors (Boone & Kurtz, 2012).
This report is based on the comparative discussion of competitive strategies in terms of culture of
two leading firms in food and beverage industry such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola.
This report discusses about the differences in corporate culture of both the competitive
firms along with an analysis of 3 different ways through which unique culture of each business
organization has benefited by the other’s competition. Besides, the next section of this report
explains that how each firm would continue their success if their current corporate culture
requires change in near future. In simple word, it would discuss the different ways to maintain
competitive position and managing the cultural environment according to changes in external
market.
Differences in Corporate Culture
The success of a business firm is highly dependent upon its cultural environment. One of
the most important features of Coca-Cola’s corporate culture is accountability. In addition, the
corporate culture of Coca Cola comprises different values such as leaderships, integrity,
passions, etc. Along with these, diversity, quality and collaboration are also integral part of the
corporate culture of Coca-Cola (Coca-Cola, Inc., 2013).
All these seven core values shape an effective and influential cultural environment in the
company. According to the company management, cultural environment of the firm persuades
