In this essay, I am going to discuss the fathers as they are in the two above mentioned stories and their thought processes along with their behaviour towards their child in "The Setting Sun and The Rolling World" and "Saturday climbing." Both the fathers deal with the same sort of dilemma, whether to hold onto their child or let them go. Both of them face trust issues although there is a difference between how both the fathers deal with the situation.
In ''The Setting Sun and The Rolling Earth," we are introduced to a father who is coping up with his son's decision to leave the family farm and explore the world. The father has a farm so he constantly thinks about how to get his work done in his field before nightfall, in his conscious mind.
