The story of Monster follows a teenager by the name of Steve Harmon, who is 16 and has been arrested and awaits trial for playing a part in a robbery that led to the death of a convenience store owner. He is suspected of being directly involved in the murder. The role of Steve in the whole event is never really clarified.
