I really found your post very interesting and intriguing as it brings new perspective to the discussion. Indeed, it a hard decision to make if one is scarifying one's own interest for that of another. Rescuing someone else with no real personal gain is truly commendable and very rare to find. To identify such a person who has the fortitude to step-in and take charge of the situation in lieu to shield others from danger. As rightly said, there can be no greater joy than helping other who are in distress. However, in reality people who can literally sacrifice themselves for saving the life/ interest of others are truly heroes. When I ponder about this topic and relate the news that I used to listen during multiple lockdowns, it is evident that doctors were the biggest heroes.
