Clip a crime, fire or accident story from your local paper and pare it down to a maximum of eight full-page width lines. Don't write a solid block of copy. There should be two or three paragraphs, each indented one tab space. How much information did you leave out? Why? What information should have been included but was not because of a lack of lines? What does this say about the drawbacks of broadcast copy compared to print?
