An HRIS is a coordinated framework that is mainly used to accumulate, store as well as analyze data w
ith respect to an association's HR system and includes databases, and information system that is important to gather/record, store, oversee, deliver, and control information for HR work. The system can uphold long-range planning with data and also plan for human resources and gracefully and request conjectures; setting up with data on equivalent business, partitions and candidate capabilities; and advancement with data on the cost of the training programs. It is intended to supply data that is needed for HR management of the association for making better decisions about human resources. The HR department is responsible for handling employees' data and process payroll on monthly basis (Gupta, 2013).
In this assignment, we are considering Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) as the organization which is petrochemical manufacturing organization. The company is managing its HR operations manually on spreadsheets and maintaining each employee’s file which is difficult to manage. With the increase in manufacturing units in the organization, it becomes difficult for the company to maintain each employee’s file manually and search that particular file whenever required. Hence, the company wants to shift to an automated HRIS system in the organization. The organization has chosen SAP HRIS system to be implemented in SABIC.
HR system is the organizational support Struct that can help in keeping all internal operations to be run smoothly with correct human resource power. The main reason for implementing HR in the organization is to save money by implementing a self-service model and to implement the specialized purpose model that can handle pensions and COBRA management. Hence, the organization is planning to implement SAP HRIS system in the organization for managing specialized HR services (Weeks, 2013).
Project Planning
The project management practices include the completion of the project by following five phases. These project phases include project initiation, project planning, project execution, project implementation, and project closure. All sub-process will be included in these five phases. Project initiation includes the feasibility analysis of the project to be implemented. Before implementation of the system, it must be analyzed that the project is feasibly possible or not by analyzing its operational, economical, technical feasibility.
