Describe a fear or phobia that you possess, and that was learned through classical conditioning. If you are among the "fearless," have a friend share a fear with you. Operant Conditioning

Classical Conditioning
Aquaphobia is the fear of water. In my early childhood, I was once involved in a stream drown that almost led to my death. Having been hospitalized for a couple of months, I developed a fear of water whenever I come across a vast body of it. The fear has grown in me that I cannot help do away with it. Unconditioned stimulus refers to any stimulus that evokes a response without a person necessarily going through the same learning or event. Unconditioned stimulus elicits the development of unconditioned response in an individual (“Chapter 7 – Conditioning and Learning,” n.d, p. 111). The development of fear of water in me is evoked by unconditioned stimulus (water) and a repeat of what happened is not necessarily required for me to feel frightened.
