I wanted to try something a little different this week. We are getting into one of favorite periods of American History—1760-1800. If we do not fully understand the ideas, personalities, ideology, and events of this era we will NEVER comprehend the greatest of our Founding Fathers or the transformative nation they helped form.

Please read the chapter in the text on the 1760’s-1770’s (Chapter 6), watch the short video I have placed below, and answer the following questions as thoroughly and completely as possible.

1—Discuss was the relationship between England and her American colonies in the years before 1763?

2—Discuss, in as much detail as possible, the major issues in the 1760’s and 1770’s that caused tensions between the American Colonies and England.

4—Now, what is your opinion of how the colonists responded to the actions of England toward their colonies? Were they reasonable or not? What side would you have taken in the 1760’s—the colonists or England’s?
