Problem on Organizational Culture
A proper organizational culture includes qualities and practices that add to the one of a kind social and mental condition of a business. It is necessary for an organisation to respect and acknowledge the cultural norms and values of the country they are expanding(Fernández,2003) into or trying to initiate a business in. However, Nando's, a global food chain with hundreds of restaurants across the globe, has failed to take it into consideration as it is obvious by their approach in South Africa. In South Africa, there was an advertisement released by Nando's which apparently was banned due to people thinking it would be offensive for the blind people. Moreover, in Australia Nando's had released advertisements which led to controversies in two different occasions. However, Nando's released a statement asking for apology. Nando's needs to be aware of the culture and behaviour of the people in the country they provide services in as it is definitely affecting the customers as well as their own reputation.
Analyse and implications
In order to be successful in the long term Nando's needs to follow a strong leadership and organizational culture because even when a particular company does well and becomes successful, when the culture starts to erode, the whole structure of the organisation falls apart.
