Ebola Outbreak in west Africa:
The deadly Ebola virus that caused the outbreak in west Africa in 20
14-2016 is one of the deadliest in the history of such epidemics. The virus was first discovered in 1976 though. This outbreak was first seen to be initiated at Guinea which than spread like wild fire to Liberia and sierra Leone to take many human lives. This virus epidemic not only caused human loss of lives but also caused a major socioeconomic disruption in the region, mainly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The Organization’s like the World health organization has taken significant steps to eradicate this virus outbreak and helped with major aids in the west African region. WHO also provided help to improve the healthcare system and funded the countries healthcare units to adapt and have care facilities from the virus. World Bank also pledged to pump in close to 230 million Us dollars in the affected countries to revive the economy and help people get back to normal life.
