Earlier I asked you to think about some situations / people in your life that have been significant in some way. I want you to think about that and Laurence’s essay as a way of telling me something about who you are … something important to you … something that has shaped you … something you wish to do …




You must FIRST determine a thesis.





What is the point of your essay? If you don’t have a thesis then you will have no direction from which to tell your story. The reader will be left feeling ‘so what’?
