No, as per the ethics, stealing is absolutely wrong. It is the level o
f simplicity and strength which are the main foundation of ethics towards our duties. Hence our duty is not to steal. Also, while making moral decision regarding mother’s health, we should understand what are our duties and how can we obey them. Therefore, as per the ethics based on duties we should abide to the principles of honesty.
Question.2
The premise that the “means justify the ends” which will lead me to return the pill is to follow the rules no matter whatever may be the consequences of my mother’s health. If possible I will work hard to earn some money or will go to the doctor and ask for some help or to some missionary so that I can treat my mother free of cost.
