Abstract
The government has to introduce effective systems and practices for improving
the growth level and living standards of the people. We know the all the countries are facing different internal and external problems. For managing the challenges, the government required healthy people and for creating healthy people the government has to understand the actual needs and based on that they have to implement productive actions or plans. While analyzing the initiative and practices implemented by the country China, Social Credit System, we can understand that it helps for monitoring and controlling the behavior and actions of the individuals, organizations and government. In this research paper, we are critically analyzing the social credit system implemented by the country China based on two books of Democracy in America, Vol 1 and Vol 2 written by Alexis de Tocqueville and Origins of Totalitarianism, Part II, Part III written by Hannah Ardent.
The main objective of the social credit system implemented by the Chinese government is to check the financial creditworthiness of the individuals and also monitor their sincerity, integrity and other related values. According to the of Alexis de Tocqueville (1850) for establishing liberty, we have to give more importance to morality and for establishing morality we have to give importance to faith. In his book he stated that “Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.” While analyzing the social credit system of China we can understand that they used these tools for understanding the moral behavior of the individuals, organization and government. For gaining political freedom the individual or the organization has to consider the moral values and principles. Alexis de Tocqueville clearly stated that most of the people in a democratic country like to have equality more than liberty. The initiative and actions of the Chinese government are to understand the needs of the people, evaluate their problems and their behavioral patterns. While analyzing the book Democracy in America, Vol 1 and Vol 2 written by Alexis de Tocqueville we can understand that for providing complete freedom to the people in the country the government has to focus on the concepts of integrity and unity, in his book he stated that “Nothing is more wonderful than the art of being free, but nothing is harder to learn how to use than freedom.”.
