Importance of plants 5 children in a group, age ranges from 6-8 In the garden Tree plantation is organised, where children plant a sapling and educator discuss the importance of trees Children able to learn about the importance of plants and they are motivated to protect trees in their neighbourhood Conservation of water and water pollution 15 children in a group, age between 6-7 In the classroom Documentary was shown on the reducing the level of drinking water and how water animals are dying Children were able to learn about the impact of low water on animals and they were taught about water pollution also Conservation of water 10 children in a group, age between 5-6 In the classroom A chart is shown to the children on water conservation at home and school, then discussion is organised Children get motivated to conserve water at home by changing some of their habits which resulted in wastage of water Recycling and reducing the waste 10 children in a group, age between 6-7 In the classroom A movie was shown on the increasing garbage on the earth and importance of recycling, then brainstorming session was conducted Children were motivated to adopt the recycling process in the life so that waste can be controlled and garbage amount can be reduced Create a document that can be emailed to parents or other members of the community. Strategy: use of cloth towel instead of non-recycling paper towel Benefits This is helpful in conserving the paper which is developed from trees. Thus, conserving of paper can be helpful in conserving trees Preparation Minimising the use of paper towel, instead use of water for cleaning or use of recycled paper towel Resources buying of paper towel or recycled paper towel Implementation Replacing cloth towel everywhere in house so that non-recycled paper cannot be used anywhere How to involve children Discussion: children are encouraged to always use cloth towel and avoid paper towel. They must develop the habit of not wasting paper Learning experience: children can be shown documentary on the harmful effect of deforestation and they can show the chart on human activities which resulted on deforestation
