Examine the article by Brian A. Reaves, Ph.D., BJS Statistician referenced above. What does this report say about the statistics on domestic violence cases from 2006-2015? Did rates increase or decrease? Considering what you have read in the textbook and what is stated in the sources referenced above, what must officers consider when responding to domestic violence calls? What are some things they can do to respond more safely. Explain your answer. Make sure you cite evidence from credible sources. Keep in mind, domestic violence calls are among the most dangerous calls for law enforcement officers to respond to.
