(Challenge problem) Use what you have learned in this chapter to calculate the far field diffraction pattern of Young’s two-slit
experiment. Extrapolate from the diffraction theory to what might
be seen if only one photon were incident on the slits. What if many
photons are incident on the slits? What if some of the photons are
distinguishable from one another?
