Cerner Corporation recently presented their vision of future hospital rooms: more technology to improve medical efficiency and decrease the chance of human error. In addition to a system that scans staff IDs and a monitor that displays all relevant patient medical information, another consideration is the size of the room. Suppose a random sample of existing hospital rooms was obtained, and the amount of square feet per patient in each room was measured.
