CCJ4400 Capstone Portfolio
The Capstone portfolio will serve as the crowning achievement of your degree program. You may tailor your portfolio to focus on a certain area in the criminal justice field (law enforcement, corrections, the courts, or social services) or you may provide an overview of all areas in the required individual topics.
The work you complete in each week’s assignments will be compiled into your final Capstone portfolio. Each section of the portfolio should contain a one page statement of your personal perspective on the given topic and conclude with a three to five page analysis of your learning process throughout this program, including how it has impacted your understanding of the criminal justice system and the development of your career goals. This section should also include a case study outlining a criminal justice issue, either publicized or personal, that has affected your career choice.
Specifically, your portfolio should be submitted double-spaced, Times New Roman or Arial 12 pt font, and with proper APA format. If you have not familiarized yourself with plagiarism at this point, it is highly recommended that you review the “Plagiarism” section found under Course Home. Since you will be working on these assignments individually and in groups, it is extremely important that you are very careful to only include your own work in your portfolio.
A detailed outline of your project is as follows (please make sure to label each section in your portfolio):
1. Title Page (1 page)
2. Introduction (1page)
3. Topical Sections (1 page statement of your personal perspective for each given topic to equal at least 9 pages for this section)
