Catapult Exercise: Using the catapult exercise data sets from Chapter 4, create or determine the following for each set of data: run chart, histogram, mean, standard deviations, median, quartile 1, and quartile 3.
Catapult Exercise: Create a cause-and-effect diagram of factors that affect throw distance. Label the factors as noise, controllable, or experimental. Select an experimental factor from the control chart (e.g., arm length). Make adjustments to this factor and monitor the projection distance. Collect 20 data points. Consider how the experiment will be executed (e.g., randomized or not). Create a scatter diagram. Save the data for a future exercise.
