Case study: PresentationIntroductionMichael Chiozza, the chairman of a company with diversified interest in various industries including energy and power generation, information technology services and the mining sector expressed his disappointment at the executive staff meeting.“We are no longer competitive in the marketplace. Our project management methodology has not been revised and updated. We have customised some processes based upon the PMBOK® Guide and Prince2 almost seven years ago. Our competitors are getting well ahead of us. I have been asking for a common methodology to be developed for all our project domains more than a year now, and all I get are excuses. I simply cannot believe that my executive staff is afraid to develop a project management methodology. I want you to investigate and propose a methodology that we can adopt, a common one for all if possible, if not a specific methodology for each project domain.”ResponseThe executive staffs quickly formed a team comprising a few experienced project managers from each project domain.
