Case Study: Kavitha is a 39 years old Indian women, gravida 2 para 0, in her 36 weeks of pregnancy. She suffered a miscarriage at 9 weeks gestation in her first preganancy 2 years ago. Her antenatal course has been uneventful and she had a normal anomaly scan at 22 weeks.She was admited from the clinic with a blood pressure reading of 150/100mmHg and urinalysis of 1+ proteinuria. Since admission hald an hour ago, her blood pressure has ranged from 132-154mmHg systolic and 86-104 mmHg diastolic.Blood tests performed on admission revealed the following results: Haemoglobin (Hb): 13.1g/dl, Platelet: 152x109/l.
