Career Orientation Case:
Alex, James and Sophie are penultimate-year students majoring in Business Administration.
Alex is a hard-working student having undertaken several jobs in customer service to financially support himself. He is the president at a student society named Business Consulting Club. He has applied for an internship to work at P&G, HSBC and PwC.
James works well with his friends for all of his university group assessments. However, if any of his group members becomes challenging, he will leave that group and join a new one. He spends time studying without socializing as he believes student clubs are worthless.
Sophie barely participates in any activities at school and has never had a job before. When asked to contribute in class, she always provides with a quick answer “No Idea”. She thinks internships are a waste of her time since they do not provide real work experience.

2. Identify major factors that can negatively affect their career path.
3. How will they improve?
4. What is the career orientation of each character in your opinion?
5. Should they seek help with their future career path?
