Ans 1 - Data Mining can be defined as the extraction of some useful information and pattern by applying specific statistical techniques from the large and massive data. The process of data mining is being used in almost every field be it Finance, healthcare, Sports, e-commerce and etc. We will be taking the use case of Healthcare data mining in our example.
Example of Data Mining In Healthcare Sector -
Data mining is becoming increasingly popular in the Healthcare Domain. Some of the useful patterns that are being generated with the help of the data mining technique are as follows
a) It helps in identification of chronic diseases in patients, tracing high risk prone areas as in case of COVID 19 pandemic. This can help in identifying particular regions and focussing on te hotspot areas in order to be most effective and efficient in the operations.
b) It can be used to analyse the symptoms, causes and side-effects of the treatment and can help in providing effective treatment to the patients by analysing the causes and effect relationship
