Introduction
Amazon.com is a USA based multinational company which provides e-commerce, artificial intelligence, cloud services and digital streaming to its users. Amazon was founded on July 5, 1994 in Washington, USA by Jeff Bezos.
Jeff Bezos started Amazon from his garage as his first venture. It was started as a market to sell books but expanded to sell electronics, software, video games, apparel, food, toys etc on online platform (Forster & Lied, 2021). In 2015, Amazon left Walmart behind by acquiring market of foods. In 2018, Amazon Prime crossed the value of 100 million subscribers worldwide. Amazon holds highest brand value globally as per 2020 reports.
Today, it has stepped into almost every field. Some of its products and services are – Amazon Web Services, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Studios, Kindle, Amazon Publishing, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Echo etc.
