Project Background
This project is being undertaken for delivering growth with respect to the domestic business situation concerning Sydney central business district (“CBD”). The ob
jective of this project shall be to connect various stations that are located across Kingsford, Randwick, central, and George street by way of newer underground based rail line. In effect, the project deliverables encompasses the development of new rail line which connects CBD as well as southeast, enhancement of ferry services already existing along Barangaroo wharf, and building roads to help cycle riders in avoiding issues pertaining to transportation congestion. The project shall be highly beneficial with respect to both individuals as well as business organizations and ultimately benefit the overall economy.
This report which forms part of the project planning documentation, presents the detailed schedule management plan as well as the cost management plan.
Schedule Management Plan
1.1. Process / Tools / Techniques Identification
The planning of the schedule management involved the process to establish the affiliated policies, suitable procedures, as well as the documentation to plan, develop, manage, execute, as well as to control the schedule of a project (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017; Larson and Gray 2017; Fleming and Koppelman 2016). The primary benefit concerning the said process shall be that it offers guidance as well as direction over the ways in which the project schedule shall be suitably managed all through the course of a project (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017; Larson and Gray 2017; Fleming and Koppelman 2016). The said process, while it can be undertaken immediately all at one or else during pre-defined points over the project course, has been undertaken all at once in this planning stage (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017; Larson and Gray 2017; Fleming and Koppelman 2016). The techniques / tools employed to undertake the same entailed expert judgment, data analysis, and team meetings (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017; Larson and Gray 2017; Fleming and Koppelman 2016).
