She had access of records of all transactions for any customer. Julie sometimes looks up the records of famous people. She checks to see where they use their credit card and how much they spend. Situation 2: Howard Beckley works for a nonprofit organization. Recently, he found a list of computer passwords near a photocopier. Situation 3: Tomas garcia is in college and works as a sales clerk in a bookstore. Occasionally, the scanner in the store is unable to read a barcode on a customers selection, and the clerk must enter the code using the keypad. Tomas sometimes makes mistakes when he enters the code. Situation 4: Don Sutton applied for a payroll clerk job with Search Services, a market research firm. To improve his chances in getting the job, he exaggerated his work experience on his resume. Based on this resume, Don was hired. After one year, he received above average ratings during his job performances review. Shortly thereafter, his boss met Don’s former supervisor and learned the truth. ● When Don exaggerated his experience on his resume, do you think he believed he would be caught? Situation 1: Julie Powers collects overdue accounts for a large credit card company. She had access of records of all transactions for any customer. Julie sometimes looks up the records of famous people. She checks t

· Is the action legal? - A part of Julia’s job is looking up the accounts of the people for checking over dues. So, I think she is not doing anything illegal.
· Does the action violates the company or professional standards? - The action does not violate the professional standards of the company in any way.
· Who is affected, and how, by the action? - She is having a simple discussion with her friends, meaning no harm to the people concerned, so nobody is effected currently. But, if any of this information is used to hurt the celebrities concerned, then the legal work can come back to her.
Situation 2: Howard Beckley works for a non-profit organization. Recently, he found a list of computer passwords near a photocopier. He started using the passwords to look at other employees email files.
· Is the action legal? - Howard is doing something illegal here. Taking passwords which do not belong to him and using them to look at employee emails is violating the employee’s personal rights.
· Does the action violates the company or professional standards? - He can get sued from law for that and he also reducing the company professional standards.
· Who is affected, and how, by the action? - The employee is effected, as his personal information is being seen. The company is affected as it can be legally sued if the employee gets to know what is happening.
Situation 3: Tomas Garcia is in college and works as a sales clerk in a bookstore.
