Employer’s National Insurance contribution = 12%


Holidays = 5 weeks


Sick pay = 2 weeks


CITB levy = 3%


Bonus = £35 per week


Plant data:


Type: compressor and breaker


Rate per week = £85


Fuel at 1.5 litres per hour = £2.50 per litre


Operator = £250 per week


Productivity per week = 65%


Oil = £9 per week


Working week = 39 hrs


Unit rate data:


Brickwork gang (two bricklayers/one labourer):


Bricklayer rate per hour = £14.50


Labourer rate per hour = £10.00


Output per bricklayer = 55 bricks per hour/m2 of brickwork contains 60 bricks


Bricks = £455 per 1000


Mortar delivered to site = £62.50 per / m³ tubs


Mortar use = 0.04 m³ per m² of brickwork.
